Inner Critic
I enjoyed this article, and while I agree with what is being said about not letting ones inner critic deter the writing process; at the same time I personally have to disagree. I have written several papers in which my inner critic forced me to re-evaluate my vocabulary and sentence structure because I would get this nagging feeling it didn't feel right and then in the long run paid off in full.

ReplyDeleteYes I deleted my comment above....even instructors get distracted and miss things when proof-reading...so I had to revise after hitting "publish".....
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled that someone outright disagreed here. Nice! So, we should talk about this more in class, yes? The benefits of the inner critic. You have a point. It was my next point, actually--one I'm not gonna talk about until I hear what y'all have to say about it!
